7 Best Places to Visit in Brazil

And now a really fun post from my friend at plan a trip to Brazil...

People who travel frequently will want to take advantage of Brazil’s amazing weather and scenery and plan a vacation there.  The entire country is filled with beautiful attractions, breathtaking scenery, fabulous beaches, and people who are all looking for fun and excitement.

Here are the 7 best places to visit in Brazil:

1.     Copacabana Beach

The beach at Copacabana is one of the most famous beaches in the world.  Millions of people visit the beach every year and relax on the beautiful sand between lifeguard watchtowers two and six.  Everyone loves walking along the shoreline towards the historic forts that are located at each end of the beach.  After a long day at Copacabana Beach, many people stop in at one of the numerous restaurants or bars along the promenade before returning to their hotel for the night.

Rio de Janeiro used to be completely surrounded by rainforests, but all that is left is this thirty-nine-square kilometer park.  Everyone loves to visit this park, because there are so many beautiful destinations inside.  People can explore many different caves, walk next to magnificent waterfalls, and see the 19th century CapelaMayrink.

3.     Brasilia Cathedral

As people first arrive at the cathedral, they will think that they are seeing two hands reaching up towards heaven.  When they walk into the cathedral, they will go under a reflecting pool that surrounds the roof while seeing painted passages from the life of Mary.  Three angels hang over the nave inside the cathedral and seem to watch over everyone who enters.

4.     Parati’s Historic Center

Anyone who goes to Parati will feel like they are stepping back in time to days where life was simple and good.  The streets are lined with cobblestones and there are no vehicles allowed in the historic center of this city.  Outside of the historic center, people can visit the colonial defense forts and the cannons that are still located there, before venturing out to one of the numerous indigenous villages.

The views from both the bottom and the top of Mount Roraima are spectacular but only those who hike this mountain will see the multiple rivers, waterfalls, and rock formations scattered throughout.  The hike to the top does take approximately seven to ten days, but the trip back down is much shorter at two days.
