Q: It's such a pleasure to interview you on my blog, Justin. Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself?

A: Well, I am a Christian video content creator, a blogger and Vlogger, and a self-taught Christian apologist. I used to say to people that I was a YouTuber, but YouTube has joined forces with the mainstream media corporations in censoring people with wrongthink, so I now identify myself as a BitChuter. I run an online video ministry called Truth: The Objective Reality, which I originally started as a blog on Blogspot back in 2013. Over the years since, TTOR has gone from being a blog to being a YouTube channel, to be all over the Alt Tech internet platforms. At TTOR, I am dedicated to proving that the Biblical worldview is 100 percent accurate and correct as written in the Bible, and I am also dedicated to debunking all other worldviews that stand in opposition to the knowledge of Christ.

Q: What is your concept of God? Do you view him positively or negatively?

A: My concept of God is not my own; it's the concept that is laid out by a straightforward and contextual reading of the Bible. God is a triune being who is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, present everywhere, and whose love, mercy, and justice is perfect. God created the universe, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in those things over the course of six ordinary days a little over 6,000 years ago. The second person of this triune God, The Son, came to this planet as a human being called Jesus of Nazareth about 2,000 years ago, and a plethora of historical documentation about Jesus; life on this planet back in the first century is available to us today, with the biggest sources of information on Jesus's life being the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John that are in the New Testament.

Q: How do you think someone becomes a Christian?

A: In John 10:14-15, Jesus made it clear that his followers know him and he knows his followers in the same way that Jesus knows God the Father and that God the Father knows Jesus. Since the context of the New Testament makes it clear that Jesus the Son and God the Father have close, intimate, and personal relationship with each other, what Jesus is saying in John 10:14-15 is that he has a close, intimate, and personal relationship with each of his followers. Jesus also makes it clear in Matthew 7:21-23 that not everyone who claims to be a follower of him has a personal relationship with him, and those who don't have a personal relationship with him will not get to spend eternity with him. In short, the way to become a true Christian is that you have to humble yourself, bow your knee in submission to Jesus, and enter into a personal relationship with him.

Q: In today's world, people invest time and energy into developing their careers and often neglect the spiritual dimension of their lives. How do you actively pursue spiritual growth?

In order to be able to defend the truthfulness of the Biblical worldview from all-oncomers, I not only have to investigate the materials that attack the Biblical worldview, but I also have to read the Bible all the time in order to understand what it's saying. When you study the Bible and you learn what it really teaches, you learn more about the Creator and how he thinks and operates, which in turn deepens the relationship you have with him. I am not a role model by any means, but I am someone who wants to know my Creator, and I want to know him on his terms.

Q: Why is there so much evil and suffering in this world?

A: There is so much evil and suffering in the world because 6,000 years ago, the first two humans, with the influence of Satan, rebelled against God and his word, and this introduced suffering, death, disease, and sin into this world. There are a lot of people out there who wonder why God allows evil and suffering to go on, and why he doesn't just put an end to all the evil and suffering in the world. While I cannot speak to anyone's individual circumstances, God makes it clear in 2 Peter 3:3-10 that the reason he hasn't ended evil and suffering in general yet is because he doesn't want anyone to perish, and he is giving everyone a chance to repent before the time for God to judge and destroy the ungodly comes.

Q: If you were to die tonight are you sure you'd go to heaven? Has anyone ever explained how you can know for sure?

A: Passages like Matthew 7:21-23 should keep Christians humble and cause them to examine their relationship with Jesus from time to time, but I acknowledge that Jesus is my Creator and my savior and I pursue a relationship with Jesus every day even though I don't always succeed in living up to the standard that Jesus has laid out for his followers. I also believe passages like 1 John 2:1-2, which says that if Christians do sin, Jesus will be our advocate with the Father. Passages like that make me feel comfortable in saying that I am saved.

An Interview With Saadia Khan, Host of The Alien Chronicles Podcast

1.Hi Saadia! It's a pleasure to interview you on my blog. Can you please tell us about yourself and what it is that you do?

I moved to the US over a decade ago. Since I have moved here I lived in three different cities; Boston, Denver, and New York.

During my initial years in the US I focused on raising my girls and doing community and interfaith work. I also worked as a research consultant/interpreter for Human Rights First.

In 2014, I decided to go back to graduate school. I graduated from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences with an MA in Human Rights with a focus on women’s rights.

After graduating from Columbia University, I worked as a Policy Specialist at the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), a civil society organization working on advocacy for women across different regions. My regional focus was South Asia and the Middle East.  I have worked extensively with UN entities including UN Women.

I like to travel and hike. I am an avid Podcast listener! I consider myself an intersectional feminist.

I recently created and launched my Podcast called "The Alien Chronicles". Now I work full time on my Pod and also host the show myself.

2. I listened to episode #4 of your podcast, The Alien Chronicles, and found it to be really informative, especially for the immigrants. What is the inspiration behind The Alien Chronicles?

The Alien Chronicles is a 30-45-minute long weekly podcast that will focus on people's’ journeys to America, specifically in NYC and surrounding areas. Every week the podcast invites people who are unique in their own right, global citizens of sorts. People who have come to call America home, whether from Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America all different age groups; who carry the legacy of their ancestors while being as American as can be. Guests talk food, cultural norms, politics etc. in the context of different cultures and ethnicities. Our goal is to create empathy for “the other” through relatable narratives. In the current climate of polarization and divisiveness, I decided to launch a podcast that focuses on celebrating representation and inclusion in America. The Alien Chronicles is a diverse space where we talk about our similarities but also value our differences.

Q: Why did you decide to choose fashion designing as a career?

A: I chose fashion design as a career because of my love of fabric and possibilities! My mom taught me to sew at an early age and I was drawn in by the transformation of materials to a finished product; to me, it was nothing short of magic. Being able to take a project from concept to completion provided me with a satisfaction and happiness that no other career ever has. I have worn many hats in my life, but I always came back to sewing. Until about 10 years ago, I only created projects for pleasure - usually just for those people around me. When my daughter turned 4, I created a one of a kind winter coat for her (I really matched the spirit of the coat to her personality). At the time, so many passersby asked about the coat that I thought maybe I should do this for a wider audience.

Q: What according to you is a favorite part of being a fashion designer?

A: Over time, I began experimenting with recycled materials. At first, honestly, it was just because of the cost of raw materials. Then, it became an environmentally conscious choice. I really saw the beauty and potential in discarded materials. I was drawn to designing upcycled tops, dresses, and coats for women. Then the door opened to a whole host of creative possibilities. I love to thrift shop and unlock the potential of garments designed for some other purpose. Each week, it's like a creative treasure hunt and I seek out pieces that emit vibes. The spark of possibility feeds my soul. Fashion design is my passion; I live for the culmination of bringing together color, texture, and style.

Q: The designs you created are no doubt good enough, but who and which things were your inspiration while creating such designs?

A: I get my creativity from my own imagination. My imagination is, no doubt, somewhat influenced by what I see around me. I have seen some amazing talents on Etsy. Amber Studios and Broken Ghost (both shops on Etsy) create art which I admire. But, for the most part, I rely on what comes to mind and what I discover; sometimes, I let my mind wander just before I fall asleep thinking about projects -- it's wonderful what comes to mind when all other distractions are absent.

Q: What skills according to you are necessary for a successful fashion designer?

A: To be a successful fashion designer, one needs to put themselves out there. You must be willing to take a risk and say "I made this". It can be daunting, especially when you go really far out with new concepts. After all, people can hate it, right?! The risk is worth the reward when you get positive client feedback. 

Q: How Etsy has helped you get your designs seen by a large audience?

A: Etsy has really helped me to reach a large audience. Etsy is a wonderful marketplace which draws people in to hunt, find, and discover. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to reach people all over the world. The site really supports both buyers and sellers. 

Q: I always wonder that how do you stay up to date regarding fashion? There is so much happening in the industry.

A: I try to stay up to date with fashion by following other sellers and sites on Instagram and Etsy. There are certain things that I will always make, but I try to add new products along the way. Like a terrorist hostage hold up who may or may not carry a real bomb, this film increases the tension with a confident grace, it's a language and it's being spoken fluently here. Refreshingly, it allows its conflicting ideas and grey morality to battle in the mind of the viewer: "which character is justified in his action and who is the real menace?" Defector leaves the audience guessing as the story unweaves events.

The film follows the real-life figure of Prime Minister Harold Holt as he engages with his security chiefs about the Reds, individuals suspected of working against the state. However, Holt has his own agenda and begins to explore one of the secret threads, culminating in a single night of dangerous confrontation, which the film depicts.

Mannion's work here shows the power of a precisely executed thriller, combined with a modest layer of science fiction. As the film unravels, this layer broods closer to the surface, but still, thankfully, remains neither naive nor pretentious. It's a genre-bending subversive masterpiece. The visual style of Defector, like its superb cast, especially Sean Taylor as Holt, is high craft. The decor and fashion of 1960’s offer a great backdrop to the mystery of the real-life death of this figure.

All of these elements resemble on one hand movies like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, telling a story of incredibly dangerous men who decide the fate of the world and still manage to look like everyday bureaucrats, and on the other hand, films like The Prestige, Boogie nights, Dusk Till Dawn with their subversive shifts. The Characters, these gray and almost faceless persons (even though this changes later on as well) are the ideal personifications of our greatest menace, the unknown.

Q. What is a healthy relationship?

A. One that is conducive to growth, where there are mutual respect and a common goals.

Q. What makes a good marriage?

A. When the atmosphere of the relationship has mutual respect, growth, love, concern for the other, where you can help each other meet goals. There is a mutual understanding that there will be good times and tough times, that you support each other through the sicknesses. When you are committed to the relationship and each other physically, understanding that you are in a covenant relationship with this person and God.

Q. What are the signs of a relationship in trouble?

A. When one or both people are disengaged in the care of the relationship, meaning they are no longer desiring to deal with issues in the marriage or grow in the marriage.

When everything results in an argument which is a sign that you are not listening and receiving what each other is saying.

When you are desiring to share issues about your marriage with someone of the opposite sex, spending quality time with this person and sharing personal thoughts that you feel that you cannot share with your spouse.

A. After experiencing turmoil in the first six years of our marriage, we received healing, restoration and a new vision for our marriage and family. We would often share our testimony as we felt led, but in March of 2017, the Lord gave us a mandate to officially help other couples. We began to realize that God had started preparing us years ago through our education and person experience.
